Sherrie Conley

What ideas do you have to better the lives of Oklahoma’s children?

Advocating for children from “at risk” homes to gain an education by teaching children (and families) that a good education is important for their future. Our at risk youth are often times not taught why they need a good education is vital. Career education at early ages through the counselors or other means, as well as, STEM and STEAM through science and math instruction will help to foster a career mindset in our young people.

What have you done to support children prior to this election?

The majority of my career has been spent with children either in the classroom or through administration.

What will you do to support families in your new role, if elected?

As stated in the 1st question, I will focus on enhancing opportunities for our children to learn about careers. I will also focus on mental health resources for our children who are currently suffering from CPTSD, so they can learn to live a normal, healthy life outside their current circumstances.
