Ken Luttrell

What ideas do you have to better the lives of Oklahoma’s children?

I have made a promise to the children of Oklahoma, to protect them at home, school and on the streets. To insure they have access to nutritious meals and shelter. And to improve education so all children can succeed. I have spent a lifetime dedicated to our children and will work to make sure they may have a bright future in Oklahoma.

What have you done to support children prior to this election?

I have volunteered and served on boards impacting children and education for 30 years in the community. I have served on the Education Foundation, Literacy Council, Friends of Education, Community Health Foundation, Salvation Army, advisor to Pioneer Tech business education and advisor to Ponca City High School FCCLA. I have been recognized by 2 Governors for founding drug, gang and violence prevention boxing programs for at risk youth. While in the Legislature I was always rated 100% by OICA. I authored Oklahoma’s E-STOP law, Electronic Security and Targeting of Predators Act to help keep children safe online.

What will you do to support families in your new role, if elected?

Work to restore and raise funding levels of public education and the expansion of Career Tech dropout recovery programs. Oppose restrictive mandates on our schools. Support further sentencing reform for non violent crimes and keep families together.
