What ideas do you have to better the lives of Oklahoma’s children?

I have several ideas to improve the lives of Oklahoma’s children. First, we must fully fund education. Our public schools are vital to the success of all children and the future of Oklahoma. Second, we must make sure all Oklahoma’s children have access to healthcare. Lastly, we must make sure that we improve the foster care system and adoption process in Oklahoma.

What have you done to support children prior to this election?

I am currently a youth leader in my church in Cyril. I have helped with youth in church for about 8 years. In my time as a youth leader, I have counseled several underprivileged kids and volunteered in countless youth activities and programs. I was a volunteer high school football coach in Cyril for 7 years. Additionally, I was a volunteer little league coach for three years in Cyril. I also have volunteered to teach children about basic banking principles in Lawton Schools, Cyril Schools, and Cement Schools. Lastly, I have taught an ACT prep course in Cyril for students in their Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years, while also helping numerous students fill out financial aid forms and apply for scholarships.

What will you do to support families in your new role, if elected?

I will work diligently to secure funding for education and other child-centered programs. I will work to insure that all of Oklahoma’s children have access to medical care. I will also work to reform the criminal justice system. Lastly, I will work to rejuvenate small businesses in Oklahoma, providing needed jobs to propel Oklahoma’s families out of poverty.
