What ideas do you have to better the lives of Oklahoma’s children?

Properly fund education and DHS. Make sure laws restricting the social safety net do not penalize children. Improving mental health care in this state will help many parents stay out of jail and keep families together. Expand Medicaid.

What have you done to support children prior to this election?

I have been a teacher for 14 years and a staunch advocate for public education and equal opportunity for students. My soapbox in my classroom is bullying. I have made it my mission in life to make sure my middle schoolers survive with appropriate coping mechanisms for life.

What will you do to support families in your new role, if elected?

As mentioned above, expand Medicaid, improve mental health services, criminal justice reform to lower incarceration rates, stop laws which stigmatize and make life more difficult for families who need help.
