The 2020 Census is winding down quickly, with the end slated for September 30.
That is why OICA and OK, Let’s Count! are teaming up for the “Sprint to the Finish” event on Friday, September 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oklahoma State Capitol Building. We are asking every Oklahoma nonprofit organization to commit to promoting Census response among their employees, volunteers, and those they serve who have yet to respond.
The event at the Capitol will be a great place to respond, consistent with social distancing and COVID-19 precautions. People will be able to drive up and respond on a sanitized computer pad and have their Census data count immediately. There will be hot dogs and drinks available, and a raffle for one lucky winner who responds to the Census at the Capitol on that day.
Sign up below to express your organization’s commitment to promoting Census response. Those organizations that do join this effort will be mentioned in a media release about the event (deadline for appearing in the media release is noon, Monday, September 14).
There is no cost except to commit to promoting the Census and encouraging those in the nonprofit organizations and those they serve to respond to the Census before September 30. Also, you can let us know if any representatives of the organization will be attending the event on September 18.
Thank you for your support for our efforts to ensure a full count in the 2020 U.S. Census. We look forward to seeing you!
