2020 Women and Children First Advocacy Training

Join the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy and partner advocacy organizations on the opening day of the 2020 session of the Oklahoma Legislature to learn how to effectively communicate with policymakers.  “Women and Children First” Advocacy Training will include chances to interact with lawmakers, panel discussions, advocacy training, and the governor’s annual “State of the State” address followed by a panel discussion about issues that will drive the 2020 session. Training sessions include sessions on the legislative process, effective lobbying, grassroots organization, and media skills.

WHAT: Women and Children First Advocacy Training.

WHERE: The Green Room at Chesapeake Energy.

WHEN: Monday, February 3.

  • Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.;
  • Reception at 8 a.m.;
  • Panel Discussion with Women Lawmakers at 8:30 a.m.;
  • Training begins at 9:15 a.m.

HOW MUCH: Price for training, continental breakfast, and lunch is $20.
